Bio
I live in Philadelphia, PA. I love the city and I also love to get out hiking. I have hiked about half of the Appalachian Trail, 1,100 miles so far. I also lift weights for fun and read about 40 books every year. The best part about being an educator is the wonderful students I get to work with! I like to provide frequent positive feedback to students as we work through our lessons. Besides knowing the content, I like to tune in to my students and how they're feeling, in order to support them through more difficult material. I understand that school is not always the easiest or most fun for every student. I provide essential social and emotional skill building and support in addition to content, critical thinking skill development, and strategy building. Being supportive of individual students is incredibly important to me.
Teacher Specialization
I am a teacher with 10 years of classroom experience. I have taught students in every grade from 1 to 8. I have taught Science, Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies and Writing. I have an advanced degree in the Sciences, and also specialize in Science teaching for grades 7-12.
