Bio
Hi! My name is Rachael Cooley. I have 3 grown sons. My hobbies include reading and playing pickleball. I absolutely love teaching! I believe that education should inspire curiosity, build confidence and help every student discover their own potential. My goal as a tutor is to help each student build confidence, strengthen understanding, and develop effective learning strategies that last beyond our sessions. I think building relationships with my students is one of the most powerful things that I can do as a teacher or tutor. I build relationships with my students by creating a safe and positive environment. I have had great FAST test scores throughout my years of teaching. Last year I had 87% of my students make a level 3 or above in both math and reading. I love to help students succeed.

I earned my bachelors degree from Troy State. I am also Reading Endorsed. I have been teaching for 25 years. I have taught in the 3rd grade for 22 of those years. I have taught all subjects. For 2 years I taught 6th grade science and social studies. I have experience teaching online during COVID. I have tutored after school for 12 years.
