Bio
Hello! It is nice to meet you! My name is Rebecca and I live in sunny Florida with my 3 children. We love to travel and explore and love learning using the world around us as a guide. I love being able to cater lessons to diverse learners from all backgrounds. This is my second year teaching virtually full time and I love connecting with students using an online platform. My passion as an educator is to find engaging methods to enrich academic content and help students connect with it in a fun and meaningful way. I am a very creative and welcoming educator who believes that all students can succeed. I focus on embracing diversity and different learning styles. I love to work one-on-one with students and help them feel confident and achieve their goals! I hope to see you in my classroom soon!
Teacher Specialization
My teaching career started in 2008 but I started working in education long before! My experience working with students began in high school with tutoring. I attended Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Science & Secondary Education. After graduation, I began teaching and also had the opportunity to tutor for Actor's Equity Young Performers. I am certified in Florida to teach grades K-6 and 6-12 Social Studies.
