Bio
Hi! I’m Rebekah Dehoney, and I’ve been teaching for over 15 years with a focus on English Language Arts, reading, writing, and special education for students in grades K–12. I’m certified in ESL, Special Education (EC–12), and Generalist (EC–4, 4–8), and I also hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate. Whether I’m working with students in-person or online, I strive to create engaging, supportive learning environments that meet each learner’s unique needs. I specialize in helping students grow their confidence, build strong literacy skills, and succeed in academic writing. I’m currently expanding my knowledge in AP English, U.S. History, World History, and Government, and I’m completing certification in SAT/ACT Test Prep and Executive Function Coaching. I’m especially passionate about supporting students with diverse learning styles, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, or anxiety. Watching students discover their strengths and find success is what inspires me every day.

I have over 15 years of teaching experience in reading, writing, ELA, special education, and ESL. I’m certified in multiple areas and hold a Master’s in Education as a Reading Specialist. I’ve taught students from early childhood to high school—both in classrooms and online—including those with ADHD, dyslexia, and diverse learning styles. I love helping students grow in confidence and skill through patient, personalized instruction.
