Bio
My name is Regan Thornton, and I am currently a 6th Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in Florida. This year is my 8th year of teaching. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2018, my Master of Education in Elementary Education in 2019, and my Education Specialist in Elementary Education in 2023, all with a 4.0 GPA. Teaching is my passion, and I truly love helping students learn more effectively. I believe that education is important because it lays a foundation for student success. Teachers need to emphasize the importance of learning to their students. By providing children with a safe environment to learn and grow, educators can help them explore new ideas and develop their abilities. In general, I believe that all students learn differently. I think teachers should use a learner-centered curriculum to best meet their students' needs. Outside of school, I am involved in community service and lead worship at my church.
Teacher Specialization
I have been tutoring since 2017. I have experience with tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students. I also have experience with tutoring college students. I began my teaching career in 2018. I am currently a 6th Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in Florida. I have taught 4th Grade Science and Social Studies, 6th Grade U.S. History, 6th Grade English Language Arts, 7th Grade Civics, and 8th Grade Intensive Reading. My speciality is reading, editing papers (writing), and U.S. History. I am able to tutor and assist students of all grade levels in English and Social Studies.
