Bio

Hi there! I am a long-time social science teacher of 15 years that has taught students in just about every social science subject at all ability levels. I believe every student has the opportunity to excel when placed in the right environment and armed with the right tools. I emphasize a variety of ways of tapping into different learning styles to bring out strengths while addressing weaknesses. I am flexible and recognize that there is no singular way that allows for all students to learn. I believe success is imminent; it is just a matter of achieving it.

Teacher Specialization

I have taught social science at the high school level for 15 years. I have taught all subjects at all ability levels. I have taught the English portion of the ACT-prep course in when I was teaching at the high school. After I left the classroom, I was the Managing Director of a center of a major tutoring company. While there I designed curriculum and individualized lessons for students. While I trained a tutoring staff of 20, I also tutored as well. I tutored all aspects of the ACT and SAT besides math. I also worked with students to achieve their GED. In our learning center, I worked with students who had fallen behind in school as well as students who needed enrichment experiences. I have worked with students on writing college essays. I have run the gambit of instruction and I continue to be excited about seeing students achieve their very best.
