Hello! I have been living in the Midwest for almost 10 years but am originally from southern New Mexico. I became a special education teacher because I love working with students and helping them reach their individual goals. I believe students learn best when they are supported and encouraged through ongoing, immediate feedback. My commitment to student growth and academic excellence is evident in my ability to connect with students and communicate information in a meaningful way. Every student is unique and requires a different approach. Tutoring allows me to meet the student where they are in order to provide the most impactful support and guidance
Teacher Specialization
I taught for English/Language Arts in Middle and High School for 4 years and then moved to into Special Education, where I have been for the last 8 years. I taught in brick and mortar for eight years and have been teaching virtually for four years. I have my undergraduate degree in English and my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified to teach Special Education.
