Bio

My name is Ms. Sam and I am excited to be on this learning journey with you! I am a mom of 4 and I have been married for 8 years! In my free time, I enjoy playing table tennis with my family and going on nature walks. I choose to be a teacher because I want to make a difference in a child's life within their academic journey! I want to be someone that can be counted on for that support. I believe students can learn best when there is a great rapport built and by acknowledging the interests of students. I believe in meeting students where they are at. Differentiation is key to success and I have much experience working in small group settings using this approach. I also believe in using the Science of Reading. My goal is to provide commitment to my students and determine learning goals to help the student strive for their success. I also want to develop a fun and engaging learning environment!

Teacher Specialization

I hold my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education which was obtained from Grand Canyon University and my Reading Endorsement from Bowling Green State University. I have worked for Cleveland School District since 2018. I began as a paraprofessional and worked in a first and second grade classroom. I then became a teacher and taught 3rd grade. In addition, I have worked summer school and took part in after school tutoring programs as well as other online tutoring platforms.
