Bio

Hello, I am Miss Thomas and I enjoy the ocean, camping, and playing with my dogs. I have taught for four years and chose tutoring because I am dedicated to students success. believe students learn best in a structured environments that build off routine and prior knowledge. I am so excited to work with you and will give feedback off our lessons. I would love to help achieve your academic goals by repetition and a fun learning space. I think its important to perfect skills you have to then build new ones. I have taught and tutored many students and have found it very important to establish a great relationship by getting to know what they are interested in to make the learning more fun and relate to the students interest.

Teacher Specialization

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education EC-6th in 2021. I have been in the classroom for four years teaching multiple subjects. I student taught in a 5th grade classroom where we taught all subjects and virtually taught at the same time. I started my teaching career in a 3rd grade classroom where I taught all subjects and administered the math and reading star tests. The next year, I went to a 1st grade classroom also teaching all subjects and for reading we used the science of teaching reading and phonics to guide our instruction. At my next school, I also taught 3rd then 1st grade but focused on only math and science. Outside of the main classroom I tutored many students and taught a UIL art class.
