Bio

Hi. I am a retired NYC teacher with two grown sons. I love reading! I find I seem to get lost in books and I lose track of the time. I love to be able to learn new things from books. I also like traveling, playing pickleball (new sport), going to the beach, taking long walks and spending time with my friends and family. When I travel, I like to go to local places to see what it's like to live there. When I walk, I love to daydream. My mind wanders and before I know it, I've walked a few miles. I love the change of seasons. My favorite season is summer because I love to be outdoors as much as possible. I love teaching children. I believe children learn at their own pace and the best way to learn is in a fun, interactive way!! Every child is capable of learning and reaching their full potential! I am familiar with many different resources and teaching strategies. Children do not learn in a one size fits all model. Every child is unique and requires different strategies.

Teacher Specialization

Hi everyone! I am a retired NYC teacher with 35 years of experience! My experience includes being a classroom teacher for grades 1-4 and a cluster teacher for grades PreK-6. I taught many subjects over the years, which include math (remedial and enrichment), PE/health, reading and my favorite was reader's theater! I taught afterschool programs (in person and remote) that included test prep and remedial/enrichment in math and reading. I taught ESL/ICT and a general ed class remotely.
