Bio
Shelley Marr– Special Education Teacher & Tutor As a certified special education teacher with a bachelor’s degree in both special education and elementary education, I believe in a student-centered approach that values each child’s unique learning style. My goal as a tutor is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where students feel confident, motivated, and capable of overcoming challenges. With experience teaching in both general and special education settings, including online platforms, I adapt my teaching strategies to meet the needs of every individual learner. I strive to build strong, trusting relationships with my students, empowering them to take ownership of their learning while providing the guidance they need to succeed. Through personalized instruction, I aim to foster academic growth, self-esteem, and a love for learning in every student I work with.
Teacher Specialization
I have a bachelor's degree in special education and elementary education and have been a certified special education teacher since 2019, with experience across a range of teaching environments. During this time, I have taught general education math, as well as special education in both separate class settings and through push-in support. Additionally, I spent one year teaching online, adapting to virtual learning platforms and engaging students in a digital classroom. Over the past two years, I have also been providing tutoring services in all subjects, further refining my ability to support students individually and cater to their unique learning needs
