Bio
Hi, my name is Stephanie Cotner. As a teacher, I am a nurturing cheerleader with patience, positivity, kindness, creativity, resilience and knowledge. My prime belief is that every child a part of this learning community is a unique individual glowing with potential, capable of profound growth, and deserving of a safe, interactive, and targeted environment which to learn. A prior teacher leader, my mission extends beyond delivering curriculum; it is to cultivate a learning domain that fosters academic excellence, social-emotional well-being, and a lifelong love of learning. I believe in a student-centered approach to learning including creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning climate. Too, I uphold that strong partnerships with families, teachers, and other stakeholders are key. My goal is to prepare children to thrive as engaged citizens in an ever-changing world.

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and an Associate of Arts Degree in Pre-Elementary Education. A veteran teacher, I have 13 years of professional teaching experience. I have taught all content areas in kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade. I have 1 year of virtual education experience.
