Hi everyone! I am Mrs. Stephanie Grigsby. I have been teaching now for 19 years after getting my degree from IUPUI in elementary education. In addition to having a license to leach elementary, I went on to add Mathematics through high school. I have taught all grades in some capacity from 3rd through 12th grade. I do have to say that, while I qualified to teach can any elementary subject, my favorite subject to teach is math. I know that many students do not like math and even dread the idea of completing assignments. That is why I am here. That is why I like to provide tutoring services. I want to be able to help students make math work something that they can look forward to and eventually complete independently. As a teacher, one of my strengths is finding out where a student's understanding of a topic is and working from that level to increase understanding. I am passionate about teaching and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you!
Teacher Specialization
I have been a teacher for 19 years. 12 of those years, I taught mostly 6th grade math but also spent a year working with students in other elementary grades in reading and math. I eventually left Indiana and started teaching high school math and have been doing just that for the past 7 years. I have also worked as a private tutor for students in Indiana and Kentucky and have worked for various tutoring platforms in the past before starting work at INDLS.
