Bio
I am an experienced educator based in South Carolina with 18 years of teaching experience in both traditional classroom and virtual learning environments. I have taught students from a variety of backgrounds and enjoy connecting with learners from different states and learning communities. My tutoring goal is to help students learn new skills while building confidence and independence. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and encouraged. I take time to get to know each student’s strengths and needs so I can tailor instruction that helps them grow academically and personally. I am caring, patient, and dedicated, and I work hard to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks. Watching students gain confidence, master new skills, and develop lifelong learning habits is what motivates me every day.
Teacher Specialization
I am a certified educator with 18 years of teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education. I hold active teaching certifications in 12 states, including GA, SC, VA, NC, WV, MO, NJ, IA, OK, AZ, NM, and TX. I have primarily taught in special education classrooms, supporting students from elementary through high school. Currently, I teach special education with the K12 SUBS National Special Programs Team, providing specialized support to K–12 students across the United States in virtual learning environments. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education. My tutoring approach is patient, caring, and student-centered, with a focus on building confidence, independence, and essential academic and life skills.
