Bio
Hello! I live in sunny Florida with my husband, our three daughters, our dog, and hamster. I like going to the beach, fishing, camping, and playing video games with my kids. I am an attentive and compassionate math teacher and tutor currently certified to teach grades 6-12. I have always loved math and I enjoy helping students feel confident in their academic abilities. I believe that anyone can succeed in math if they're willing to try! Mistakes Allow Thinking to Happen (M.A.T.H.). Through warm ups I will assess your level of understanding and together we will work towards reaching your objectives. Every person learns differently and I will take the time to design lessons to fit your individual learning style. I look forward to collaborating with you!
Teacher Specialization
I hold a bachelor's and master's degree and am a certified 6-12 secondary math teacher located in the panhandle of Florida. I have taught public high school for 4 years and middle school for 2 years. I have experience working with students who are ESL, have learning disabilities, dyscalculia, ADHD, and autism. I was filmed by my local school district to highlight my use of parallel teaching in the blended classroom, and implementing group learning for middle schoolers, to train new teachers.
