Bio
Hello! I am a passionate tutor who believes every student deserves the time and support to truly understand what they are learning. My educational philosophy is rooted in patience, individualized instruction, and helping students feel confident in their abilities. My tutoring goals are to guide students in mastering challenging concepts, strengthen their critical thinking and writing skills, and foster a genuine love of learning. I build relationships with my students by creating a supportive, judgment-free space where they can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. And yes...I will probably share a fun cat picture or two along the way!
Teacher Specialization
I have eight years of teaching experience, including two years dedicated to virtual instruction. For the past two years, I have worked as a freelance tutor supporting students in grades 5–12. I earned my B.A. in History from Syracuse University, along with my teaching credential. My background includes teaching in public schools with a strong focus on History and Common Core ELA standards. This means I can help with your ELA essays, History essays, DBQs, SAQs and LEQs!
