Bio
Hi! I’m Shanna Ayer, and I’m passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. I believe all students can succeed when they’re supported with creativity, encouragement, and real-world connections—especially in math and science. My goal is to help students build confidence, spark curiosity, and see the value of what they’re learning. I enjoy building strong relationships by learning about each student’s strengths, interests, and goals, and creating a space where they feel heard and motivated. I’m a lifelong learner who believes there’s something new to discover every day. Outside of tutoring, I love to travel, cook, bake, listen to music, watch movies, exercise, and try new foods that support my nutrition goals—with coffee always close by! I’m excited to be a part of each student’s journey and to grow and learn alongside them.
Teacher Specialization
I’ve been in education for over 15 years, teaching in both traditional classrooms and virtual environments. I’m passionate about using digital tools to create high-quality, engaging, and interactive lessons that bring learning to life. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and two master’s degrees—one in Educational Technology and Online Learning, and another in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). I’m also endorsed in Gifted and Talented Education. My experience in both in-person and online settings has allowed me to develop flexible, student-centered approaches that meet diverse learning needs. I enjoy integrating technology in ways that make learning meaningful and fun while helping students build critical thinking and real-world skills. Whether I’m teaching core content or supporting enrichment, I’m committed to helping each student thrive.
