Bio
My teaching style is laid back and student-centered—I prioritize building strong connections and creating a safe, welcoming space where learning feels approachable and meaningful. I truly believe every student has a superpower—something special they bring to the table—and we all learn in our own way. My job is to figure out how you learn best and help you use that superpower to grow. Whether reading, writing, or building confidence, I’m here to support you, cheer you on, and make sure you feel capable, heard, and ready to succeed. I’ve been teaching middle school ELA for the past five years, and as cheesy as it sounds—the best part of the job is 100% the students. I love getting to know what makes each person unique and helping them grow into confident readers and writers. When I’m not tutoring, you’ll probably find me at the beach with a good book, fishing with my husband, or doing just anything outside. I’m all about keeping learning fun, laid back, and tailored to you.
Teacher Specialization
I have five years of experience in education, primarily teaching 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts. I also hold a Master’s degree in English Education (6–12) and a Bachelor of Arts in History. While I’ve spent one year teaching in a hybrid setting, I’ve consistently integrated technology into my teaching every year—using it for assignments, assessments, writing activities, interactive games, and virtual office hours to keep students engaged and supported. I’ve worked with students of all learning levels, including those with learning differences such as ADD, ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia. No matter the setting or the student, I’m committed to creating an inclusive environment where every learner can grow and thrive. No matter how a student learns best, I always find a way to guide them toward success and help them feel confident and capable along the way.
