Bio

Hi! My name is Bekka, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I've been teaching for 12 years, mainly in Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and various intervention programs for kids from preschool through 6th grade. I love working with young learners, helping them discover their potential and build a strong foundation for their future learning. I believe that online learning can be just as exciting as classroom learning! I use fun interactive tools and games that make each session feel like an adventure. By getting to know your interests, I can tailor our lessons to include things you love, making learning special and engaging. Together, we will explore new ideas and skills while having a blast! When I’m not teaching, you can find me reading a great book, camping with my family, or enjoying a movie night. My love for stories and reading shines through in my teaching, as I’m passionate about helping struggling readers find joy in books.

Teacher Specialization

I have an Elementary Education degree from Utah Valley University with experience working with students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, particularly with reading intervention. I have 12 years total teaching and tutoring experience with three of those years working with students exclusively online using many different platforms and tools to help students engage and enjoy learning! I have an ESL endorsement as well as experience and training in many reading programs.
