Bio

Voted “Student Favorite” at my last teaching position, I bring warmth, excitement, and creativity to every lesson. I believe students learn best in a comfortable, trusting environment where they feel supported and free to make mistakes. My goal is to help each child discover how they learn most effectively, giving them strategies to overcome challenges and gain confidence. I value strong relationships with students and families, knowing it takes a village to help children succeed. A lifelong learner myself, I enjoy hands-on projects from baking to gardening and farming to photography and art to even restoring classic cars. I’ve taught English to Chinese students and traveled to over half the states in the U.S. Above all, teaching children remains my greatest passion. I am currently substituting at my former school, homeschooling my 6th grader and keeping my newborn at home. I love to have fun while learning because life is too short not to. Can't wait to see you in your next session!

Teacher Specialization

I am certified in elementary education ranging from grades 2-6. I have taught all 4 major subjects and love all four of them. Being that I have spent 5 years inside of a classroom, and 1 year teaching virtually, I have experience with all types of learning styles, disabilities and gifted students. I have a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts of Science and a Master's in Elementary Education with a certification in Read to Succeed. I am consistently taking professional development classes so that I can bring new strategies into my lessons. My goal is to always find a way to make learning easier for every student and to help find and fill the gaps students are missing. Watching students improve and progress is my passion! I love including real world scenarios and advice as well to help prepare them for the future and becoming a well rounded and successful individual in all aspects of life.
