Bio
Voted “Student Favorite” at my last teaching position, I bring warmth, patience, and creativity to every lesson. I believe students learn best in a comfortable, trusting environment where they feel supported and free to make mistakes. My goal is to help each child discover how they learn most effectively, giving them strategies to overcome challenges while also having fun. I value strong relationships with students and families, knowing it takes a village to help children succeed. A lifelong learner myself, I enjoy hands-on projects from baking to gardening and farming to photography and art to even restoring classic cars. I’ve taught English to Chinese students and traveled to over half the states in the U.S. Above all, teaching children remains my greatest passion.
Teacher Specialization
I am certified in elementary education ranging from grades 2-6. I have taught all 4 major subjects but love math, science and social studies the most. Being that I have spent 5 years inside of a classroom I have experience with all types of different learning styles, disabilities and gifted students. I have a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts of Science and a Master's in Elementary Education with a certification in Read to Succeed. I am currently substituting at my former school, homeschooling my 6th grader and keeping my newborn at home.
