Welcome to my profile! Thank you for taking the time to consider me as tutor for your student. I entered the teaching field because I wanted to make an impact in the lives of students. While earning my bachelors degree I discovered that find joy doing that on a individual or small group level. When working with individuals or in small groups I can tailor the instruction to the student's individual needs as well as meet them where they are. I believe this is the best way to make an impact in student's lives and am grateful for the opportunity to do that.
Teacher Specialization
I have certifications in Elementary Education and Special Education. I have 4 years of in person teaching students with special needs at the elementary level. During this time I primarily worked with students with learning disabilities on improving their reading and mathematics skills and knowledge. I also have 4 years of in person teaching students with emotional and behavioral disabilities at the middle school and high school level. During this time I modified the regular education curriculum for my students. As a result I have experience teaching most grade level material.
