Bio

Hi! My name is Colin, and I’m passionate about making history come alive. With a Master’s in History and three years teaching a range of social studies courses, I focus on making complex ideas simple and relatable to everyday life. I’m all about questions—both mine and my students’—because curiosity is key. In my spare time, I love building things, always asking, “How does this work?” This mindset lets me transcend history, connecting systems across subjects. Ultimately, that curiosity-driven approach opens up the future for every learner, no matter what they study!

Teacher Specialization

I hold a Master’s Degree in History from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master’s Degree in Education from National University in San Diego, California. I taught for three years in the public school system, primarily within an accelerated credit recovery program, where I supported diverse learners with varying academic needs. My teaching experience includes high school U.S. History, American Studies, World History, International Studies, Human Geography, Economics, and U.S. Government. Through this work, I developed strong skills in adapting instruction, pacing, and assessment to meet students where they are, tailoring lessons to support understanding, engagement, and academic success.
