Bio

As an educator, I believe students learn best through a combination of active engagement, meaningful experiences, and personalized approaches that cater to different learning styles. My academic goals that I want us to achieve through tutoring may include improved subject comprehension and enhanced study skills, while non-academic goals could involve increased confidence, motivation, and a sense of self-efficacy. Building positive and meaningful relationships in a supportive and inclusive tutoring environment fosters trust, open communication, and a sense of belonging, enhancing both the learning experience and overall well-being of the students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy being a yoga instructor to both children and adults. I am a community outreach coordinator for a local wellness clinic. I am a furmom to a sweet therapy dog that loves to be wherever I am. I have traveled to over 40 states and 7 countries and I'm learning to speak French.

Teacher Specialization

I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades over my 23 years. I have been a virtual teacher and tutor for about six of those years. I have represented three different schools as a teacher of the year and was chosen as a district teacher of the year a few years ago. I have been a part of a Leader in Me, Lighthouse School and National Blue Ribbon School over the last several year also.
