Hello and welcome! I am Mrs. Cypress. I am passionate about teaching and specialize in building strong foundation skills in reading, writing, and math for young students with proven results. Throughout my career, I have successfully helped students significantly improve their reading levels, math fluency, and standardized test performance through targeted instruction and ongoing support. My teaching style is structured, engaging, and supportive. I believe children learn best when lessons are interactive, confidence-building, and tailored to their individual needs. Whether your child needs extra support or enrichment, I am committed to helping them grow academically while developing a love for learning. My goal is to build strong skills, measurable growth, and confident learners. I look forward to partnering with you to help your child succeed!
Teacher Specialization
I am a licensed teacher with over eight years of teaching preschool and kindergarten. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. I specialize in early literacy and foundational math skills. I have experience working with language learners and students with special needs, providing differentiated, structured scaffolding to ensure steady progress. Whether a child requires extra support to build confidence, consistent practice to strengthen fluency, or enrichment to challenge advanced skills, I design focused lessons that meet them where they are. I use data-driven instruction and progress monitoring to guide every session. Tutoring can also be tailored for test preparation, including MAP Growth, Brigance screening, DIBELS, and other standardized assessments. My students have consistently shown significant improvement in reading levels, math performance, and overall testing results.
