Bio
I am Danielle Reid and I love to read and write! Being an English teacher allows me to share that love with others, so it never feels like work to me. In addition to reading and writing literature, I enjoy skating, bike riding, swimming, hiking, watching movies, listening to music, singing, and spending time with my two sons and puppy. As a teacher, I know there are always students who need additional support to achieve their academic goals. Teacher Specialization
I've been teaching for 17 years, starting in middle school for 8 years and now teaching high school for 9 years. In middle school, I taught 6-8 ELA, then eventually transitioned to high school English where I have taught English 9-12 and Creative Writing, Public Speaking, AP English Literature and Composition, and AP English Language and Composition. I have a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland and an active North Carolina Professional Educator's license to teach English in grades 6-12.
