Bio
My name is Deidra Steed. I enjoy reading and swimming and have many pets including 2 horses, 6 cats, and a dog. I enjoy tutoring students and working to ensure that ALL students are successful. I like to provide interactive and fun instruction while ensuring students meet their benchmarks or goals.
Teacher Specialization
I have been a teacher/instructional coach/administrator/tutor for 34 years. I have taught all grades K-8 in both the traditional classroom and virtually. I received my BA in Education at Wake Forest University in 1988 and my Masters in Education in 1989 from Appalachian State University. I have had much experience with students with disabilities and English as a Second Language. Nationally board-certified in 1999, I worked on various certifications to differentiate instruction and literacy.
