Bio
My name is Emily Parker. I am presently the PBIS coach for my school and work closely with students and staff to provide worthwhile activities to keep students engaged. I believe all students, with the right opportunities, can grow and learn! No one student learns the same way as their neighbor. It is important for us as teachers to provide the resources and strategies for their success. I love to connect their learning to real-life situations and make the content fun for them. If I can give them a silly way to remember something important, why not?! I also love to connect learning to a song. Children connect with and remember melodies, and I have found much success with singing in class!
Teacher Specialization
I am in my 8th year of teaching. I hold a Master's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Business Administration. I currently teach second-grade math and reading with connections to science and social studies. I have also taught first-grade and third-grade, all subjects. I am familiar with teaching online through our COVID years and continuing that online education with my students on Flexible Instruction Days.
