Bio
Hi! I am an elementary educator with experience teaching Pre-K, 3rd grade, tutoring 1st-grade math, and providing one-to-one support in special education settings. As a former Teach for America corps member, my teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that all students can grow when they have high expectations, clear instruction, and strong relationships. I focus on meeting students where they are, using data and observation to break skills into manageable steps to learning feels achievable and confidence building. I prioritize consistency, encouragement, and structure, helping students feel safe to ask questions and take academic risks.
Teacher Specialization
While I do not have any virtual teaching experience, I have been a classroom teacher for just shy of 3 years. I graduated with a degree in Sociology and Leadership Studies. In education, I specialize in early childhood and elementary education, with a focus on foundational math skills, early literacy development, and confidence building for young learners. I have experience supporting students in Pre-K through 5th grade, including differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs.
