Bio
Hello! My name is Joe Novak. I am a passionate mathematics teacher with extensive one-on-one tutoring experience. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and explaining concepts in clear, approachable ways that make math feel less intimidating. While growing up with eight other siblings I built a love for helping others which brought me to teaching. I am known for my patience and ability to break down complex ideas into manageable steps. I genuinely love math and strive to help students build confidence, understanding, and strong problem-solving skills. I have been honored as Teacher of the Year at my school twice. Whether a student needs support with fundamentals or advanced coursework, I am committed to helping them reach their goals.

I have been a mathematics teacher for 19 years. In the classroom I have taught and specialize in all high school mathematics courses including: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC. I also have experience tutoring students from middle school at the Math 5, 6, 7, and 8 levels. I earned received my Bachelors Degree from John Carroll University in Education and Mathematics. Along with my Masters Degree "Master in the Art of Teaching" from Marygrove University.
