Hi! I am Dr. Kafarra Burden and I look forward to working with you! I am a forward-thinking, organized, and passionate leader that conceives and deploys creative initiatives to achieve measurable goals. I strive to motivate and empower students to think innovatively, intuitively, and actively to achieve constant improvement. I am a focused and active listener that pursues individual’s needs through distinguishing conflicts and offering effective solutions. I love helping students succeed and I am willing to go the extra mile to ensure that each student has an equitable and quality educational experience.
Teacher Specialization
I earned my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, a second Master of Education in Higher Education Student Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Education, all from UNT. I have experience as an Administrator, Dyslexia Specialist, Reading/Writing teacher, and Theatre Arts teacher. I have also worked in online tutoring and with Special Population students, many of whom have achieved great successes and sustained significant progress over the years.
