Bio
Hello! I am so excited to introduce myself to you and begin our learning journey together! First, let me tell you a little about me. I enjoy reading novels and breaking down complex ideas into simple concepts. I believe that students learn best through being provided a personalized, differentiated educational experience that allows them to succeed. Moreover, I feel that consistent, specific, and actionable feedback allows students to feel empowered in their learning journey and fix learning misconceptions, strengthening overall student comprehension. I aim to help students master academic material while ensuring I cultivate their creativity and critical thinking to promote student achievement and effective academic rigor. I build positive, meaningful relationships with students through respect and making learning relatable to their lives while students are engaging in learning. I chose to be involved in tutoring because I believe that every student deserves to learn and succeed.
Teacher Specialization
Bachelors degrees in both English and Psychology at Emory University. Masters degree in Elementary Education at the Relay Graduate School of Education, specifically certification in Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading Grades pre-K-6th and English as a Second Language Supplemental. Certified in Gifted and Talented Education. 3 years Elementary Education (pre-K, 1st, and 3rd grade).
