Bio
Every child learns differently so materials should always be taught in different ways to meet their needs. Every child can succeed, they just have to be met where they are. My goals of tutoring is to have the students to be the expert in the end. I want them to be able to teach me what they're working on and become the expert. They will be able to take on anything that comes their way. I love having students be able to share what is on their mind and to not be worried about what someone may say. I enjoy being open and being able to make learning fun for them to where the time passes so quickly they can't believe their time is complete. I enjoy walking, traveling, spending time with my family, and volunteering, especially at zoos. I love working with students and having little light bulbs go off in their mind to where they make connections in their learning.
Teacher Specialization
I am a child-centered educator with over 8 years of experience focused on building confidence alongside academic growth. I have taught online since 2020, delivering full elementary core instruction during COVID and providing dyslexia intervention for elementary and middle school students. I continue to tutor students across the U.S. and internationally in reading, writing, math, and dyslexia support. I have regularly taught Pre-K through 6th grade core subjects, and dyslexia instruction for students in 1st–12th grade. Currently, I teach dyslexia to elementary through high school students and support core subjects for grades 2–6 online. I hold a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies (minor in Special Education) and a Master’s in Special Education. I specialize in multilingual learners, special education, core elementary subjects, and am Orton-Gillingham trained (2019).
