Bio

Hi my name is Mr. Roberts and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! My goal is to create a supportive and positive environment for my students to develop a strong math identity and a growth mindset. In my online sessions, I use a balanced approach of inquiry and explicit instruction to make learning engaging and accessible for all my learners. I believe in leveraging technology tools and providing personalized feedback to ensure effective online learning. I also encourage participation and stick to a routine to create a sense of structure. My ultimate goal is to foster a supportive environment where my learners feel engaged and motivated to learn.

Teacher Specialization

I have been a passionate educator for 8 years and have experience teaching General Education (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies…) to learners in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. I have taught in both Florida and North Carolina, and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education and a Master's in Curriculum Instruction. I specialize in mathematics instruction for elementary and middle grades, focusing on helping students build strong foundations in numbers, operations, fractions, decimals, and real-world problem solving. With my MS in Curriculum and Instruction, I design and align lessons to state standards while making learning engaging and accessible through visuals, hands-on activities, and differentiated strategies. Although math is a strength of mine, I am a trained general education teacher, which means I am equipped to teach across all core subjects and adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
