Bio
Hello! My name is Kristin Quitoni, and I am an educator passionate about fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning in my students. My teaching philosophy centers on creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where every learner feels valued and challenged to reach their full potential. Throughout my career, I have mentored and trained staff to meet the academic and behavioral needs of students. As a teacher, I bring enthusiasm, creativity, and empathy to every lesson, striving to connect content to real-world experiences and to empower students to take ownership of their learning.
Teacher Specialization
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education, both from SUNY New Paltz, which have equipped me with both the academic foundation and practical skills to inspire learning across diverse settings. I have been teaching for 6 years, 5 of them in self-contained Special Education, teaching all subjects. I have taught several grades from fourth to seventh grade. I have worked with students of varying abilities, including students with learning disabilities, Autism, social-emotional needs, ADHD, etc. I have experience tutoring and teaching virtually by using various modalities to ensure progress and success.
