Bio
Hello! I’m Miss Woeck (Wik). I’ve been tutoring online since 2020 and have been teaching elementary school classrooms since 2022. I have also taught preschool and afterschool programs with mixed school age groups where we explored Social Emotional skills and STEAM. My favorite subjects to teach are Math and Language Arts. Subject integration is one way enjoy teaching other subjects such as science and social studies to my students. While I teach, I think about what I could be doing to adapt a lesson to my student’s learning needs. This process includes thinking about their Social Emotional needs, their level of understanding, and whether or not they have a diagnosed disability while keeping in mind that a diagnosis may only be accessible to specific populations.
Teacher Specialization
A large amount of my online and in person tutoring experience has been in Language arts through working in my college writing center and working with students online. I also have experience working with students diagnosed with ADD/ ADHD, Autism, OCD, and PTSD.
