Bio
Hi, I am Meredith Adkisson, and I live in Fort Worth, TX, with my husband, 3 daughters, and 4 cats. My interests are music, travel, and outdoor activities. I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I taught kindergarten in public school for 3 years, homeschooled my daughters for 4 years, taught private piano lessons for 10 years, and substitute taught for several years. While my public school experience was in kindergarten, I have taught and tutored kindergarten through 8th grade. I believe students learn best when their individual learning style is engaged. There's no one-size-fits-all of learning, and I aim to cater my tutoring to engage each student best, whether that's through art, hands-on activities, games, music, etc. I strive to model a growth mindset for my students and help them develop confidence that they can learn despite the challenges. Building strong relationships with students is my forte and a priority from day one. I am very excited to meet you!
