Bio
Hello! My name is Misty Love, and I specialize in working with struggling students by reteaching and using specialized instruction specific for that child's needs. I have spent a lot of time collaborating with other teachers to fit the needs of each student. My teaching philosophy centers on learning through relationships. I believe students learn best when they feel safe, valued, and respected. Building trust and meaningful connections allows students to gain confidence in themselves and their abilities, which leads to stronger academic growth. One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been helping students overcome challenges, work through learning setbacks, and discover their own potential. I am passionate about creating a supportive, encouraging learning environment where every student feels capable.
Teacher Specialization
I am a certified teacher in Elementary Education (Grades 1–6) and Special Education (K–12 Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical). I bring 10 years of teaching experience, including 5 years in secondary (Grades 7–12) special education and 5 years in elementary (K–6) special education. I have also recently completed my Master’s Degree in K–12 Educational Leadership.
