Bio
Hello y’all! I’m Mrs. Beseda—also known as “Mom” to my three energetic boys! When we’re not at the soccer field, basketball court, or fishing on the lake, I’m supporting and advocating for students with unique learning needs. I stepped away from the traditional classroom four years ago to focus on intervention and special education, and I’ve loved every minute of helping students grow in confidence and skill. My goal as a tutor is to help students feel confident and capable by turning big, overwhelming ideas into simple, understandable steps. I love helping them build the kind of thinking and analyzing skills they can use in any subject - and in life beyond the classroom. I believe every student has their own kind of genius and something valuable to bring to the table. I work to create a space where we learn from each other, fill in gaps, and grow together - where questions are always welcome and every learner feels seen, supported, and capable.
Teacher Specialization
I believe students learn best when given the freedom to show what they know and are met right where they are through intentional scaffolding, questioning, and flexible instruction that pivots seamlessly to meet individual needs. My approach values quality over quantity, emphasizes the “how” and “why” behind learning, and provides individualized, specific feedback that celebrates the thinking process and holds students accountable for their growth. I have a grand total of 11 years in education (2 years Virtual/Hybrid). I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, and provided Reading and Math intervention for K–5 students. I hold certifications in ESL and Special Education and have delivered resource, inclusion, and Dyslexia services. In my current role, I case manage over 100 IEPs, ensuring data-driven goals and equitable access to learning.
