Bio

With over two decades of experience teaching Spanish, reading, and English as a Second Language, including many years in virtual classrooms, I bring both depth and adaptability to teaching. I believe every student is uniquely gifted. While all students can learn, they do not all learn the same way. My mission as an educator is to unlock each child’s potential by recognizing their strengths, honoring their needs, and creating pathways for growth. My classroom is student-centered and joyfully led by the learners themselves. I strive to create an environment where students feel empowered to guide their own learning journey, one that is meaningful and rewarding. I am passionate, intuitive, and committed to nurturing curiosity. Whether in-person or online, I bring warmth, structure, and creativity to every lesson. I love watching students discover their voice, especially in a new language, and making learning personal, purposeful, and fun.

Teacher Specialization

With 23 years in education, including 14 years of virtual teaching experience, I bring a deep commitment to student-centered learning across diverse settings. I hold a BA in Literature and Education, with specializations in English language learners and reading support. I'm certified to teach World Languages (Spanish K–12), English Language Learners (K–12), and Primary Grades (Pre-K–3), and I also hold a Reading Endorsement. Throughout my career, I’ve taught all these subjects and had the privilege of working with learners of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
