Bio
Hello there! My name is Mrs. Hicks. I am so excited to meet each one of you. I’m honored you are trusting me to help you achieve your learning goals and beyond! This is a safe “nonjudgement” zone, I believe there is no such thing as a bad answer. I have been a special education teacher for the past seven years. I believe that anything can be achieved with hard work and determination. In my experience students learn best when they feel heard and respected so facilitating a safe learning space is my priority, along with making our sessions fun and interactive. I look forward to beginning our journey!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Student Education K-12. I graduated with both my Reading and ESOL endorsements. In the past 7 years, I have worked with Kindergarten-Fifth grade students in Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. I have spent my career working with students with varying exceptionalities as well as facilitating support in the general education classroom.
