Bio
My name is Pamela Orr-Atwood, and I am an educator committed to creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment. I believe in clear routines, project-based learning, and student choice to foster confidence, independence, and meaningful learning. Building strong relationships while maintaining high expectations is central to my practice.
Teacher Specialization
I bring 20 years of teaching experience, including extensive fully remote and virtual instruction, working with students across grades K–12. I have taught English Language Arts, Social Studies, Creative Writing, interdisciplinary Humanities, and elementary ELA and Math. My primary areas of specialization are English Language Arts and Humanities, with a strong emphasis on writing, reading comprehension, and critical thinking. I am currently completing the second half of my National Board Certification and regularly engage in professional development. My teaching style is warm, creative, and consistent, balancing empathy with accountability. My goal is to help students grow into confident communicators, critical thinkers, and self-advocates.
