Bio
I think students learn best when they are engaged. Some students engage when they get to write about a topic, or read about a topic. Some students need to get up and move around, or learn a song about a topic. Education is about helping students, the way the student engages. My goal with every student is growth, an improvement. I think it is important to include students in the process of setting goals, and keeping track of their growth. Building relationships with students, especially when working virtually, is so important. Taking some time every session to touch base about their day, and exciting things in their life. My name is Rachael Leibolt. I have been an educator for 5 years. I spend 2 years teaching 2nd grade in Florida. I then spent 3 years teaching 6th grade math in Ohio. I love music, reading, and crochet. Being a tutor is an opportunity for me to help support students in a deep and meaningful way.
Teacher Specialization
I have been a teacher for five years. I spent my first two years teaching 2nd grade students in Florida under a K-6 Florida Teaching Certificate. I also had a Reading Endorsement, and English Language Learners Endorsement. I worked with many students that were below grade level, had a learning disability, or English Language Learners. I then moved to Ohio where I got my 5 Year Professional Primary (PreK-5) License, and my 5 Year Professional Middle Childhood (4-9) License for Mathematics. The past three years I have been a 6th grade math teacher.
