Bio
I'm a certified ESL teacher who enjoys supporting diverse learners. Outside of tutoring, I write and publish books—education is both my career and calling, and I’m motivated by the lasting impact it can have on a child’s future. I believe students learn best when instruction is personalized, culturally responsive, and built on genuine rapport. I actively monitor student learning, adjust instruction as needed, and provide clear feedback to address misconceptions and build confidence. My goal is to ensure students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform on grade level while also nurturing critical thinking and creativity. I provide focused, individualized support to help each student grow academically and personally. I foster strong, respectful relationships by creating a safe, inclusive space where students feel valued. Building trust is central to how I support learning and encourage student engagement.
Teacher Specialization
With nearly four years of classroom teaching experience and a background in college readiness advising, I specialize in teaching English Language Arts, writing, and social studies at the elementary level. I hold a B.A. in Psychology, an M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, an MBA in Marketing, an M.S. in Management and Human Resources Management, and an M.S. in Information Technology, which allows me to approach instruction through both an academic and real-world lens. Certified in EC–6 and ESL, I design engaging, standards-based lessons that build literacy, strengthen critical thinking, and support academic growth across diverse student populations. I am especially skilled in differentiating instruction for English learners, dyslexic students, and students who need targeted, data-informed support to meet and exceed grade-level expectations.
