Bio
Hello! From many years of experience I know that students learn when they are engaged and that all students can grow their skills with specific, targeted lessons and intervention including frequent, immediate feedback. I believe that short lessons built from data gathered throughout lessons are most effective in moving a learner toward growth. My goals match the goals of the humans I work with. Growth is the focus, but engagement in lessons and content also requires tapping into the interests and humor of the learner. My first steps to engage with students are to build relationships. This is key for success and student learning and is especially true for online tutoring. I have a warm personality, and I always look forward to learning about the humans I work with. I currently live in Rhode Island and am a military spouse. We've moved three times in the last five years. I previously had the joy of teaching for 21 years in one place. Now I am finding joy in tutoring online.
