Bio
Hi, I am Shirley Reinert. I have always loved learning but discovered not everyone does. My own family included, and it broke my heart. That is when I knew I wanted to teach and tutor. I have taught and tutored preschool through 6th grade. Helping others learn is my purpose. I want to instill the passion of learning in each and every child. I am passionate and dedicated to helping children discover their possibilities and thrive. I hope to build self-confidence in their learning by building stronger skills not only academically but socially and emotionally. We will deepen our knowledge through critical thinking, problem solving, work/study habits, conversations, teamwork and self-advocacy. I believe every child is unique and has the ability to learn and flourish. Embracing our uniqueness, actively listening, showing respect, kindness and empathy towards one another contributes towards our success. I can´t wait to share in learning and discovering more together!
Teacher Specialization
Masters Degree in Elementary Education and Elementary Reading License. Over 30 years of teaching experience, 25 years of tutoring experience, 10 years K-5 small group reading and math intervention, nine years teaching after school and summer school classes.
