Bio

Hello. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies. I taught English overseas in Japan. I traveled between a middle school and two elementary schools to teach English lessons. I have a passion for helping those in need and have worked mostly in Special Education. I try to find where it is where the student is struggling and find out what is the best way for a student to learn. Everyone learns differently and I scaffold my lessons to make the students be their most successful self. Success also looks differently for every student. Small successes will later become bigger impacts.

Teacher Specialization

I am a special education teacher who has worked with students in self-contained classes, life skills, Dyslexia, ELL, Pre-K, PPCD, and resource classes. I have more experience with students from Pre-K to second grade but have taught Dyslexia and resources classes up to 5th grade. I am certified for Early Childhood to 6th grade Generalist, Early Childhood to 12th grade ESL, and Early Childhood to 12th grade Special Education. I have tutored while in college through the AVID program at a high school. I have worked with students in classroom settings and pull outs through the Resource, ESL, and Dyslexia Programs at a variety of schools.
