Bio
Hello! I love the outdoors, going to ballgames, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family. I also love getting to know my students and their interests so that I can incorporate them into my teaching to make learning more meaningful and interesting. With 33 years of teaching experience, I have a deep understanding of how children learn and how to adapt to their individual needs. I've had experience with a wide range of learning styles and academic levels, so I know how to meet students where they are, help them build confidence, and learn the skills. I'm patient, encouraging, and truly passionate about helping kids succeed! Tutoring gives me the chance to give more focused attention, and I love seeing their successes and achievements. One of the most rewarding things about being a teacher is seeing the smile on the face of a child when they realize they have made that connection and "get it". I look forward to helping my students learn in an engaging and fun way!
Teacher Specialization
I have my Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in Elementary Education and teaching children with disabilities. I taught 27 years in a public school and 6 years in a private school. After 33 years, I still love it!! I spent this past year working with students in individual and small-group settings focusing on the areas of Reading and Math. I genuinely enjoy helping children learn and grow, and I strive to make learning a positive and interactive experience!
