Bio
Hello, I am Tamar! With over 23 years of experience teaching math and computer science, and two decades of training educators nationwide, I bring a background grounded in a mechanical engineering degree and dual master's degrees in education. My goal is to help students of all skill levels develop critical thinking, creativity, and strong foundational problem-solving skills in computer science and mathematics. My approach focuses on making complex concepts easy to grasp through hands-on, real-world examples tailored to each student's unique learning style. I cultivate a patient, encouraging environment where questions are welcomed, and students feel safe overcoming frustration to succeed. Outside of teaching, I love cooking and going to the movies.

I have spent over 23 years teaching mathematics, computer science, and STEAM across the K-12 spectrum, and I have spent two decades training educators nationwide. I am a Pennsylvania Certified teacher in 7-12 Mathematics and 7-12 Computer Science. I also hold a PK-12 Principal Certification. My background combines deep technical expertise with specialized support for diverse learners, helping students build genuine confidence and mastery from middle school math through advanced coding and engineering design. I have taught elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, Algebra 1, geometry, Algebra 2, precalculus, trigonometry, calculus, college algebra, AP CSA, AP CSP, and courses in Python, Java, JavaScript, and Cybersecurity.
