Bio

Hello hello! I am a certified Elementary teacher (K-6) in 2 states! 3rd through 5th grade math and science are my absolute favorite subjects to teach. I love to see students begin to understand these real-world concepts. Building relationships is one of the most important parts of my educational philosophy - students don't learn from people they don't like. I use every interaction with students as an opportunity to build their confidence and help them develop their understanding of the material, the world, and themselves. It is important to me that students learn to embrace their mistakes and understand the "why" behind answers. I have found that this helps my students become more curious and independent, and as a result, start looking for new ways to solve challenges. EVERY child can succeed when they are given the tools, support, and opportunities they need! I can't wait to meet your student and get started!

Teacher Specialization

I have expert content knowledge and scored a 95% or higher on all 4 content area exams (math, ELA, science, social studies) required for my teaching licenses. I am a certified elementary educator (Kindergarten - 6th grade) in both Texas and Utah. I have 2.5 years of experience teaching 4th and 5th grade in brick-and mortar, hybrid, and virtually! In this time, I was nominated for Teacher of the Year by my principal and served as the co-lead for my grade level.
