Bio
My name is Amanda Coughlin, and I am entering my fifteenth year in education. I am married and a mom to two boys. Some of my favorite things to do are play video games with my family, play board games, read, and go for walks. One of my main priorities in education is maintaining a positive and welcoming learning environment. It's so important that students feel safe and comfortable in my classroom in order to get the most out of their education! When students are comfortable, they are much more likely to be engaged in the content, ask questions, and participate in meaningful discussions. Not only do I want to help students grow and develop academically, but I want to help students take that knowledge and utilize it in the real world.
Teacher Specialization
I am entering my 15th year in education. I currently teach physical education, health, and nutrition. In addition to those content areas, I have experience teaching psychology. I have a Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Elementary Education.
